| FAR Architecture Center | SHANGHAI | CHINA FAR Architecture Center Shanghai presents ONL Architects Saturday, June 17, 2006 (7:00 PM) FAR Architecture Center Shanghai presents the works of Dutch architects ONL (Oosterhuis and Lenard). The Solo Exhibition will be held from 17th untill 25th of June 2006 at the Suzhou Creek Warehouse in Shanghai. The opening will be on SATURDAY the 17th of June at 19:00. After a lecture by the director of ONL architects, Prof. Ir. Kas Oosterhuis, the DutchConsul General, Mr. Jan Peter Wever, will officially open the exhibition. There will be drinks on the roofterrace and the entrance is free ! Date: SATURDAY 17th of June 2006, 19:00 Location: Suzhou Creek Warehouse Address: 2F, 1305 Suzhou Rd. Prof. Kas Oosterhuis will give a lecture titled "Non-standard Architecture" during the opening. ONL based in Rotterdam is an innovative design studio internationally known for integrating advanced difgital techniques into the design process and in the production process [artificial intuition, mass-customization, file to factory process]. ONL establishes a liberating connection - a true hot-line - between intuition in the collaborative design process and logic in the evolution of the parametric 3d model and the production process. (Kas Oosterhuis is professor for Architectural Design, Design Methods at the Delft University of Technology, director of the Hyperbody Research Group and director of the Protospace Laboratory at the Faculty of Architecture, focusing on buildings as Complex Adaptive Systems and on multi-player gaming techniques for Collaborative Design and Engineering. Ilona Lénárd is a certified actress educated in Budapest and a certified sculptor trained at the Willem de Kooning Acedemy in Rotterdam. ONL is a multidisciplinary office where architects, visual artist, web designers and programmers join forces. ONL is an office where reality and virtuality meet.
