   APPROACH ARCHITECTURE STUDIO

Approach Architecture Studio is established under the circumstance of the current Chinese architecture movement with the background of the economical globalization and the unprecedented urbanization. It is the result of grouping both strengths of the local and overseas architects and engineers at the international level. It has around 120 employees. Its parent company - Jiuyuan Tri-star Architects Partnership - has the certificate class A (JiaJi) architecture and civil engineer practicing license issued by the Ministry of Construction of China.

Approach Architecture Studio is pursuing the excellence in its practice. It believes that the never stopped endeavor can reach to the perfect solution while balancing the requirements of the clients, ideal of architects, and the interests of the general publics. Shortly after the establishment, the office, together with other 17 architects/firms in China, participated in the China Contemporary exhibition in the Netherlands, by NAi in June 2006.

Liang Jingyu - Principal


Liang Jingyu has been merging into the scene of Chinese contemporary architecture during the past 3 years after having gained a wide range of experience working as an architecture and engineering professional for 7 years in Canada. Recently finished projects include the design of the official China Xinhua News Agency, Beijing Branch; Urban Redevelopment for Beijing Railway Station Area; and interior design for the headquarter of UA Design office. His works have been published in various professional books and magazines in China and overseas. Liang Jingyu was one of the seven architects representing China in the International Biennial of Architecture and Design in San Paolo, Brazil in 2005. In early 2006, he found his new firm - Approach Architecture Studio ChangYu JianZhu with JiuYuan Tri-Star Partnership Architects.

Gu Wei - Associate Architect


Following a degree in Civil Engineering in Beijing Gu Wei then moved to Paris where he qualified in architecture in 2004. During his seven years in France, Gu helped to complete a diverse range of projects (International as well French ones), and gained experience in several different agencies AREP, Vasconi and Associates amongst others). He joined Approach Architecture Studio in May 2006 as associate architect.
